Roberick Schoorlemmer on Balancing the Joints in Tai Chi

taiji-balanceMuch of the work of tai chi is achieved by paying attention to how the body feels and ‘listening’ on a very deep level. In these simple, yet highly useful exercises Roderick encourages us to become deeply aware of the paired joints and how they are in relation to each other.

Roderick is based in Haarlem, Netherlands where he runs his tai chi school, Aardetaichi and he is also co-organiser of North Sea Tai Chi – The Dutch Tai Chi festival, which is staged in third weekend of August near Amsterdam and enjoyed by players from many European countries who gather to share in various aspects of training in Chinese Internal Arts.
