Instruction Tai Chi 8 Movements – Posture 5 – Press

1. Shift your weight to the right toward 50/50; at the same time the hands rise.

2. Shift your weight further to the right (80/20), while your torso rotates to the left.

3. Releasing/letting go: The hands rotate slightly outwards, led by the pinky fingers; the torso rotates a bit more to the left as a consequence of the release.

4. Activating: Straightening up, the right hand moves to the right, so that the left hand presses onto the right wrist. (The left hand is placed half on the right hand, half on the right lower arm). Gaze and hip face into the full direction.
