Calendar – Where to Learn Tai Chi and Qigong

Tai Chi and Qigong Calendar

Finding a teacher can be a daunting process for many. What to look for, where to find someone suitable and what emphasis are best suited to me? These are some of the many questions that are asked by beginners. Nowadays with the increase in classes and teachers there are many choices available to the beginner. Throughout our website we have tried to provide clear guidelines on the many ways in which these arts are taught and practised.

To find classes in your region visit our Tuition page, where you can find teachers listed by country, region etc. In these calendar pages you will find information on regular classes, special seminars, forums and in-depth courses on tai chi chuan, qigong and Chinese Internal Arts.

In towns, cities and villages all over the world you can find regular, ongoing classes, taught to people of all ages, in a variety of ways. As the health benefits of tai chi and qigong are being regularly researched, with increasing evidence on the benefits of regular practice we see classes in conventional health-care environments, hospitals, schools, cancer care centres and senior citizen’s centres.

Tai Chi is also trained as a highly effective martial art with competitions taking place in most major countries as practitioners seek to evaluate their skill level in the various aspects of Hand Forms, Weapon Forms and Partnerwork which includes Tui Shou (push-hands) and San Shou (free-sparring). These listings include details of competitions and training seminars.

For the past 25 years we have seen a growth in multi-style gatherings where practitioners from different schools and styles meet to share and learn new skills. We also include a reviews section where you can read about some of these many multi-style events happening across Europe and above.
