SHOOT FLYING GOOSE – Application 4 of 5
This is used as a response to downward pressure on your blade to your left side.
When your point is aimed more or less to the outside of the O’s right foot or calf, you may disengage / cut to the right side of the O’s neck or arm. Move the sword in the same manner as is done in “Strike Wild Goose” just before “Ape Offers Fruit”. The feeling is like a springing off from the O’s downward pressure and circling up and to the right, over his blade. The principle here is: “When they go up, we go down. When they go down, we go up.”
